Are you ready for the 2020 scion exchange?! We sure are! As always this is one of our largest meetings of the year so make sure you there ready to take part in this fun event.
We’ll start setting things up around 5 pm – folks can bring their scion wood in then, but we will ask that everyone wait outside until 6 p.m. when we’ll open the doors.
Like last year, all members of CRFG-SD will be given a 30 minute head start with the doors opening up at 6 p.m. We’ll open to the general public at 6:30 p.m.
If you haven’t already, please renew your membership at the following link - https://californiararefruitgrowerssandiegochapter.wildapricot.org/join-us
If you are currently a member in good standing, you’re good to go!
We plan to have a few different exchanges scheduled this year so please hold on to any Annona scions until the February exchange.
We will try to have a small amount of grafting supplies on hand for purchase.
A word about scions:
- Absolutely no patented varieties and please, please, please - no citrus.
- Please make sure all your scions are properly marked. While not required, the more information you could provide about your scion the better (e.g. chill hours, tasting notes, required pollinators things like that.
- Legibility is critical – please make sure how ever your scions are marked, the writing is legible
Got a question about processing your scions? Check out this great video by long-time CRFG-er Ben Kotnik.
