Sept Regular Meeting - Historical Fruits of San Diego

  • 25 Sep 2019
  • 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM
  • Room 101, Casa del Prado, Balboa Park

Join us for our regular meeting Wednesday, Sept 25 as Justin Daniel of the California Native Plant Society will present on the historical and native fruits of San Diego and southern California. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., presentation begins at approximately 7 p.m. Justin brings a wealth or knowledge to this talk and this will be one you won't want to miss. As always, please bring something for the opportunity table and we'd love to sample something delicious from your garden, kitchens or orchard on the tasting table!

Since 2009, Justin has worked as a Property Design Consultant, which incorporates surveys and assessment of private properties with sustainable, minimized impact design principles from start to permit. His passion for the native landscape and the environment at large comes from growing up on a functional horse and cattle ranch, and enjoying the extraordinary camping, fishing, and hiking around California and Colorado.  Over the past few years living in San Diego, Justin has focused much more on supporting habitat and the people who truly care about keeping wild places clean and appreciated. He's been the President with the California Native Plant Society's San Diego Chapter for nearly a year, following in some very big footsteps.

All are welcome to attend this free event.
